Getting here and parking

Car Parking Facilities

Along St John’s Road (SK17 9AR) you will find the Pavilion Gardens car park. The car park is owned and managed by High Peak Borough Council. There are 199 spaces, 15 disabled spaces and toilets.

Payment types accepted

Car park ticket machines accept 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins and do not give change.

You can also pay for parking via the PayByPhone application.

More information can be found via their website.

Coach Parking

We allow coaches to drop their passengers off on the Promenade by prior arrangement. Coach parking is available on Burlington Rd (SK17 9AY).

We also allow coaches to park on the Promenade provided that they have arranged this with us before visiting.

Additionally the Sylvan Coach park is situated off the roundabout at the intersection of the A6/A53. For directions from the Pavilion Gardens, please contact us.

Disabled Access

There are eight disabled car parking bays on the lower level of the car park. The ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users throughout and there is a wheelchair accessible lift from the ground floor foyer to the Pavilion Arts Centre, which is also accessible from St. Johns Road.

The Pavilion Arts Centre is still split level, so wheelchair users will only be able to access the entrance level area.

There are several disabled toilets within the Pavilion Gardens building, including a brand new for 2022 “Changing Places” facility. The car park and kiosk toilets are accessible by use of a Radar key. If you have other specific needs, please contact us and we will endeavour to help as best we can.

Located in the heart of Buxton, Pavilion Gardens is the ideal place to visit for tea & coffee, light meals, cream teas & afternoon teas.

We offer a £10 driver voucher for refreshments & pre-bookable free coach parking on the promenade (subject to availability).
